Who: Ryu, Tohma, Mika and Noriko
What: Ryu and Tohma go to Kyoto on a class trip and run into Mika and Noriko.
Where: Kyoto
When: Friday, Jan 14th, 1991

Ryuichi sat idly outside the school, waiting for the rest of his class to show up. He'd been late to school this morning, due to an episode he had last night and merely wanted to wait for everyone outside, thus he'd taken up perch on the brick wall surrounding the busing area and perceded to wait. Slipping his sunglasses on, Ryuichi let his eyes fall shut for a moment merely listening to the sounds around him. Everything had a beat and it didn't take long to peice it together.

The wind blowing threw the oak trees, rusling their leaves in time to Nature's greatest lullaby, it was inspiration in truth but Ryuichi who was so normally intune to the beat of things around him, was deaf today. He merely blamed it on his hysteria attack last night and not on the fact that he and Tohma had yet to find Nittle Grapser a third keyboardist.

"Yes," Tohma answered quite confidently with a kind smile contradicting him, "yes, you are. Everyone else hears noise." He chuckled, rounding the wall to be the same side as his friend.

"Oversleep this morning?" Unlike other people Tohma didn't really care what it was that had made Ryuichi late as he was here now, and so his questions were never imposing, just conversational.

A laugh escaped Ryuichi and he shook his head. "Damn straight. That's all anyone else can really hear nowadays. They don't stop to listen. Don't take the time." He waited for Tohma to reach his side before he started off towards the group of kids from their class.

"Something like that" Ryuichi said with a nod, he felt guilty for never informing Tohma of his condition, but he'd been so good lately, it seemed weird to tell him something he'd probably never experince. Or well that had been the case, but after last night he wasn't so sure now.

There was always the feeling between them that something was going unsaid. Usually all that would come of it would be an added wrinkle to Tohma's forehead, and a mental note to find out what it was when he wasn't so obviously trying to hide it.

"Where are you going?" Tohma asked, staying firmly by the wall, the tell-tale signs of a grin working on his lips. He nodded off campus, towards the student car park.

Coach ride to Kyoto with every member of their student body? Oh, not happening.

Ryuichi just tipped his cowboy hat forward slightly so It shaded his eyes and shrugged. In truth he should have known that Tohma wouldn’t dare ride with the rest of the class and it suited him at the moment fine. Grinning he just walked in the direction of the student parking lot. “Just between us, I don’t have a clue.”

Perhaps this trip wasn’t going to be so bad after all.

"Oh good, I'd hate for you to think I was leading you astray." Tohma pulled his cream, woven, woolen scarf up over his lips as he turned to follow Ryuichi, turning into the wind.

"You pull me astray?" Ryuichi asked with an amused smile. He glanced over to Tohma and just shook his head. "You could never lead me astray, I think its the other way around actually."

Tohma laughed behind his scarf, hands digging into his pockets to find his car keys. "Yes, I was a perfectly good boy until you came along. ...but apaprently I was looking for a good distraction."

"You didn't look very hard did you?" Ryuichi mused softly under his breath. He cursed himself silently, hating how his moods switched so easily. He wondered if Tohma suspected anything. He was a smart kid after all, he had to have noticed something.

Ryuichi just nodded "Alright, alright. So you shopped around a little, or should I say are still shopping around, right?" he said softly. "You've said it yourself thousands of times, you're not looking for commitment."

"Thank you, Ryuichi. I always wondered what I'd have to do to be labeled a whore." He laughed lightly, not offened in the least.

Ryuichi had a tendency to take things he said and distort them. The only harm being done was onto Ryuichi himself, one day he'd see sense Tohma hoped.

Ryu glanced over to Tohma and just shook his head. It was unbelievable half the stuff they thought up together. “Well don’t think too hard about it I suppose.” He said as he leaned back in the seat, growing quite. A whole week in Kyoto… its gonna be one long week.
