Where: Ryu's flat he shares with Tohma
What: Ryuichi wakes up next to K, and finds out a few things that are more than shocking to them.
When: Jan 16th, 1991

Sataus: Incomplete

The first thing Ryuichi noticed as he slowly felt the grip of sleep loosen on him, was that the sunlight entering the room was far, far to bright. The normal soft hum of the fan near the left corner of his room, was way to loud and he swore there were thousands of tiny needles being stuck into his head all at random intervals. All in all, Ryuichi knew was he had one wicked headache. Groaning softly the brunette ran a hand threw his shaggy hair, shivering slightly at the coolish sensation of metal meeting the soft skin of his forehead. Funny. He didn't remember going to bed with rings on. Hell he didn't even remember going to bed truth be told.

Still with his eyes closed, Ryuichi fingered the band on his left finger for a moment or two before finally opening his eyes. He blinked a couple times, cursing as the light from the window difted into his senstive eyes causing them to blur and sting. Wiping at them with the back of his hand, he froze as his hazed mind tried to make sense of what he was seeing.

Mysterious gold ring, left finger... what the fuck did I do last night?

The second thing Ryuichi was aware of, was the other occupaint in his bed. Suddenly he really wished he could remember what he'd been doing last night. He remembered getting together with K after Tohma and blown him off for some other commitment he'd made. He remember having a few rounds of drinks, but after the third round everything stopped. Taking a deep breathe, Ryuichi turned his head and stared at the body of the person he apparently had brought home last night. Realizing who it was, Ryuichi's eyes widened and he stumbled out of the bed and onto the floor with a loud crash.

Oh my god, why is K in my bed??

Thud…

He winced when he heard the sound.

Pound!

His head was pounding, aching from whatever the hell it was, he and Ryuichi had done last night; there was drinking, partying, lots of that and possibly more drinking.

Hell, after the last few glasses he had completely lost track.

Marriage…Let’s get married…

Was the last thing he remembered Ryuichi suggesting. Did he agree? He couldn’t remember. An all too familiar chill pricked at his left ring finger as he cracked his left eye open with a groan.

“Ugh, where…anyone get the license of that truck?” he asked groggily, groaning as he brought a hand up to his forehead and rubbed.

When it came to mornings, K wasn’t very coordinated. On the contrary, it would take him a while to get his bearings. He sat up, exposing mussed blonde hair in the process and looked around; taking to the morning sun a little better than most.

Ryuichi still seated on the floor gazed up at K, still so very confused. As hard as he tried to remember what they'd done last night, his mind continued to come up blank. He just prayed that with, whatever had happend they hadn't done anything over the top. Getting married was close to the top of the list, but if he'd done anything more intamete with his manager, Ryuichi wasn't sure what he'd be doign next, but it sure as hell wouldn't be glancing at K or Tohma with a straight face anymore. Sighing softly, trying to slow down his rapid breath, Ryuichi just shook his head.

"Sorry I missed it," He mumbled softly doing his best to avoid looking at the solid gold band sitting on his ring finger. This had to be a nightmare. He was quite positive that this morning couldn't get any worse and made the mistake of asking so. "What did we do last night?"

Registering the time of day and where he was, K tilted his head, “Good question, I don’t know myself.” He answered, scratching the back of his head as he pieced two and two together or tried. He remembered bits and pieces, but most of it was blocked due the alcohol left over in his system; his mind was clouded and still very much asleep.

That is, until he got his morning cup of coffee.

However, it would probably be a while before he got it. Considering him and Ryuichi had yet to figure out just what the hell they did exactly. Fidgeting with the ring on his finger he sighed and focused on the singer, “We got married it looks like…” he noted, touching the cool metal with his thumb and index finger.

It felt awkward, he had to admit: was it an actual marriage or did they do it for play? He couldn’t remember yet as to why they did it. Nevertheless, it looked as though their little game ended up becoming a silly commitment, that, or Ryuichi wanted to play house and he just didn’t recall events too well.

Ryuichi shook his head, before resting his head in his hands. He was more or less shocked by just how calm both of them were about this. Not many people could go threw the same sistuation and actually say the same. With a sigh, Ryuichi stood from the floor.

"This is just rich.." he said with a small laugh. "This reminds me of a publicity stunt you pulled a while back. I mean what would make the fans more into us if they only knew I was in love with my keyboardist and married to my manager."

“Are you trying to say I staged this?” he asked, blinking as he started to become more awake.
It would make sense, but if he did stage it; he didn’t remember. That or he was just that damn good of an actor and played innocent as well as a child when they did wrong.

“I know Nittle Grasper’s fandom is important, but why would I go as far as marriage?” he wondered, knowing it was a good idea either way and to think of all the publicity they could receive from the public alone.

The headlines would surely scream Scandal!

After all, Ryuichi was in love Tohma and now married to him. What a better pinch for them to be in and the flood of interviews that could just as easily flaunt around their relationship: the ratings would just go up.

Talk about publicity for the masses: think of all the albums they could sell. In just a matter of time, they could go platinum.

“But there is a good side to this…” he said, playing along; even though, deep down he had staged this but was merely leading Ryuichi on with a farce.

"Then please enlighten me." the singer's sarcasm was dry, giving away the fact that his mind wasn't quite awake yet. He had the slightest nagging feeling that while K didn't remember anything important that had happend last night, he at least had an inkling of what was going on.

And despite it all, the only thing Ryuichi really wanted to do was tell Tohma before things got too far out of hand and the blonde stumbled onto something in a magazine or the newspaper.

While they had been intame at one point in time. The sexual side of their relationship had been kept mostly behind closed doors. Infact Ryuichi was sure that while K suspected there was something between them, he never had any proof. They were careful, too care to make sure they never put into a position that could compromise that. Now Ryuichi had a sinking feeling that he'd done just that.

Compromised Tohma, and his keyboardist didn't even know.

“Think about it, you love Tohma, yet ended up marrying your manager: imagine the publicity that Nittle Grasper could receive from it. We can always enlighten Tohma and tell him it was staged, which is what he’ll probably think. Besides, I usually stage whacky things like this anyways, right?” He questioned, lapping up his suggestions. He loved the idea of a romantic scandal in the music business: it only meant more publicity, footage, and interviews for the band.

“Not to mention we are still looking for a new band member and what a better way to do it then through this kind of publicity. We take a scandal and weave it into something even better.” He added, smiling.

If there was one thing about K, he never saw problems as being bad: he only made them better by taking advantage of the situation.

"I think I've officially gone crazy." Ryuichi muttered as he shook his head. "I can't beleive I'm actually going to agree to go ahead with this." He glanced at K. "So we're clear, this don't mean a thing." he said as he crossed his arms. He knew deep down this was what Nittle Grasper really needed, but it still felt overly wrong.

He nodded, “Yes, we’re clear.” He assured, grinning as he smiled widely. Naturally, he was surprised with how well this was going: he was a much better actor then he thought. Ryuichi agreeing was a good thing as he got to his feet and smoothed out his clothes.

His white, long-sleeved shirt was unbuttoned halfway and pulled up out of his pants. Luckily, for him, his pants were still very much up and buttoned.

“I’m glad you agree, after all, when it comes to free publicity I’m never wrong.” He chimed, happy that his plan had worked to perfection.

Ryuichi could remember quite a few publicity stunts put together why K that were salvaged merely by quick thinking on both Tohma and Ryuichi's part. He instead just shook his head. "Just keep that in mind, once Tohma finds out. Then we'll see if never wrong." the brunette mumbled before disappearing out of his room.

He sighed, but smirked as he crossed his arms over his chest before moving to button up his shirt, “Yes, we’ll see.” He answered as he brushed his hair back with his hand, attempting to keep it from sticking up in spots. However, it only seemed to muse it more as he made a face.

Long hair was indeed a nice thing when it wanted to be, but otherwise, it was a pain in the ass to take care of. He missed the good ole days when it used to be short and not so messy, but times changed and so did K. Cutting it was not an option, not as long as he was alive.
